Homemade: Guacamole
2 Hass avocados, ripe, but firm, cut in 2″ pieces
2 oz. white onion, cut into 1″ pieces
2 garlic cloves
1 small tomato cut in 4 parts
1 tomatillo cut in 4 parts
juice from 1/2 lime
30 cilantro leaves
1/2 tsp kosher salt
2 jalapenos (optional)Add all ingredients into food processor and pulse until desired consistency is reached.
Things I would do differently next time:
use 1 jalapeno and not 2 because my tongue was on fire
blend all ingredients except tomato, onion, and tomatillo
cut tomato, onion, and tomatillo in small pieces and fold into blended mixture (to give the guacamole some texture) -

I venture here on a weekday for my work’s one hour lunch break and it was bad idea. There service was horrible, but I can understand that it’s a language barrier issue. The waitress didn’t understand what I said when I ask does it come with injera? She thought I asked for bread! We didn’t have our water refill in a apporiate time, plus the food is very spicy. Overall the food was good, but I don’t like the service. I much rather order to go or go to another Ethopian restaurant. We ate at this place because it was my cousin’s birthday and I was treating her to lunch. This was my second time there in about a couple of years. We were in much need of satisfying our Ethopian cuisine craving and yes we did!
We order the Meaza tibs (cubed beef) and Ye Asa Dulet (cubed fish). I really liked the fish and not the beef. The beef tibs weren’t very flavorful. It needs a tad bit more spices, but the cubed fish was delicious.
Below is a link that the washingtonpost.com said about the restaurant:

http://www.buzzonslaters.comI’m a full-time distant learning college student and I like to use free wi-fi in public when possible. Study and doing schoolwork in public helps me to stay focus rather than doing it at home or a usual location plus having a study buddy is always great. I ventured to Buzz on a night of much needed catching up schoolwork to do. There atmosphere is rather noisy because of the background music and those that are chatting away, but I tune it out. They are open until 12am which is awesome! There are also tasty pastries, coffee, sandwiches, beer, and wine– what more do you need?
Enjoy! =)
